With Special Guests:

Three Moon Union: A Collective of Women In Song

Three Moon Union features luminary artists from the Washington DC metropolitan area, showcasing each artists individual talents and inspiring great new musical collaborations. They draw upon three distinctly diverse styles; worldbeat, traditional, and contemporary folk music.

Mary Sue Twohy's smooth vocals dancing lightly above subtle, expressive guitar garnered her the Washington Area Music Association (WAMA) 1999 New Artist Award and 2000 WAMA nominee for Female Vocal! "As far as the Goose-Bump meter goes, Mary Sue Twohy is up there with Nanci Griffith, Sarah McLachlan, Iris Dement." D. Richards, The Morning News www.marysuetwohy.com

Michelle Swan is a 2000 Wammie Nominee via The Washington Area Music Association for "Best Debut Recording" "Whistling in the Dark is an excellent debut and shows a remarkable talent. Swan's words reach out and grab her audience. You should reach out and grab this CD."-- Melanie H. Akers, Women's Monthly (WOMO) www.michelleswan.com

Rachel Cross has received many awards including a Mid-Atlantic Song Contest award for her song "Sound of the Bullet", Song of the Week on MP3.COM for her song "Same Guy", and Best World Music Vocalist from the Washington Area Music Association in 1996, 1997,1999, & 2000 as well as a nomination for Songwriter of the Year in 1999. www.rachelcross.com

And:
Cletus Kennelly

Washington, D.C.-based Cletus Kennelly, named "Best New Artist" for the year 2000 by the Washington Area Music Association, is an award-winning songwriter whose music blends contemporary urban folk with elements of melodic pop and alternative rock. He accompanies his clear, passionate vocals with both the power and the delicacy of his 12-string guitar. His songs create vivid character portraits as they explore the gamut of human emotions, while using phonetic phrasing and word-play to accompany his rhythmic and percussive style of guitar playing.

His work has earned him numerous songwriting awards, as well as Washington Area Music Award (Wammie) nominations.Aside from winning the Best New Artist Award,

Cletus was also nominated for Wammies in the categories of Contemporary Folk Male Vocalist of the Year, Best Debut Recording ("Thread"), Best Contemporary Folk Recording ("Thread"), and Best CD Design.

Doug Goodhill, your host will be in the studio to interview our guests, toss out a trivia question, and open up our inter-active listener chat line to answer any fan's E-mail.
